June Sunset in NC // Fork in the Kitchen

Hi all my sun-kissed, beautiful friends!  Please tell me you’ve been enjoying this gorgeous (although at sometimes smothering hot) weather as much as I have?  I’ve been all about the beach this month – walks, drinks, lounging, you name it, I’m there at the beach.

P.S. There was a SHARK a few nights ago just north of where I live on the island.  How scary is that?  The ocean creatures are real my friends, too, too real.  There haven’t been as many sightings or “attacks” as there were last year, but still.  I’m not going in that water any further than my feet…

I know I’ve kinda fallen off the food blog grid this month (read above paragraph re: being on the beach all. the. time.) and hopefully soon I’ll be getting back to posting on a much more consistent schedule.   Nonetheless, let’s talk about June!

{A FEW} RECIPES I MADE IN JUNE….

I’M LOVING…

  • The kindness of others.  Y’all, we just need to spread a little more love, even it’s just a smile passing on the streets.
  • Sunsets.
  • FRESH HERBS. I don’t think I need to say more, but I will.  I love my little herb garden, and it is bursting at the seams.  I’ve got big plans for it… big, big plans.
  • The results of the best state to grow up in.  The data doesn’t lie, and I haven’t been either all those times I’ve ranted and raved about Minnesota either.
  • Rainbows, cause there’s always bound to a rainbow at the end of a big, unexpected storm.
