It’s a leap year!  How did you spend your extra day of February?  Even if you had to work (like me) I hope you found something fun to do, I mean, February 29th only comes around every 4 years 😉

I celebrated with chocolate.  Because chocolate is my life.  Oh, and three a glass of wine, too.

I’m not going to lie – February is one of those blah months for me.  When I was still back in Minnesota, February was the worst; the cold, bleak, dirty snow just keeping you stuck inside and the sun still isn’t out when you really want it to be.  Do you know what I mean?  Sometimes it’s a real struggle.  Luckily down here in North Carolina the sun is starting to stay out until 6:00, making spring feel closer than it is.

We got an espresso maker this month – which means I’ve been spending my weekends editing photos with homemade espresso drinks of all kinds.

And because we’ve been friends for a while, I’m willing to share with you this awful selfie for the sake of creme brulee.  Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee to be exact.  Cahhh-bammmm-ohmyyygooood!  It’s so good.  SO. GOOD.

So let me tell you, the BF said a few months back he would never do a puzzle with me because, in nicer words, he thought I would be too bossy much of a leader with my puzzle skills.  Now, normally he would be totally right – I must admit that sometimes I think my way is the best way.  But with a puzzle, I knew we would be a-okay.  So this month, we put it to the test.

And guess what, it went smoother than that creme brulee!  Who was right about that?! 😉

How was your February?  I hope that even if your days are still short, you’re finding ways to cope (I recommend a nice glass of Merlot, a scented candle, warm cookies, and a puzzle).
