I’ve always been fascinated with Seattle. For no reason either. I’d never been there before, so maybe it was my fairly recent obsession with Grey’s Anatomy, my love of rainy, gloomy days (although I probably would get over them really fast if it was an all-the-time thing), or maybe it was my love of coastal cities – that perfect balance between ocean and mountains.

Highlights:

Chihuly Garden and Glass // an incredible exhibit full of breath-taking glass sculptures – a must-see!

Museum of Pop Culture // everything pop culture you could ever want to know about – David Bowe, The Muppets, horror films, Jimi Hendrix, sci-fi…

Pike’s Place Market // touristy? yes, of course, it is, but then again, I was a tourist in Seattle…

What We Ate:

Din Tai Fung // special trip for world-renowned soup dumplings!

Pike’s Place Chowder // worth the wait for creamy chowder – go for the traditional in a bread bowl!

Unicorn Bar // talk about hipster-unique vibes going on! we actually went here twice… once during the day, and once again at night. go at night, and enjoy the wildly strange atmosphere and the upscale bar food > corndogs are the specialty.

Molly Moon’s Ice Cream // gotta give each city’s favorite ice cream spot a try, this is it for Seattle!

Bakery Nouveau // French bakeries are the best – and this one was exceptional. The quiche was the silkiest, creamiest, light, yet flavorful quiches I’ve had. And twice-baked almond croissants – dying !!! – so flakey, a little extra crunch on the outside, and sweet almond flavor galore.
