Broccoli  Au Gratin

Broccoli au Gratin is a delicious and easy way to mix up your veggie side dish at dinner. Fresh broccoli florets are topped with a luxurious cream sauce, nutty gruyere cheese, and parmesan. No steaming, boiling, or roasting is required! It’s all baked to perfection with a crisp golden brown breadcrumb topping.

INGREDIENTS

- broccoli head - unsalted butter - yellow onion - garlic - flour - vegetable stock - whole milk - salt & pepper - gruyere & parmesan - nutmeg & cayenne

Take the time to cut your broccoli into bite sized florets. You can use the stalk too!

Begin your bechamel sauce. We're adding garlic & onion for more flavor!

Stir in the flour, allowing it to heat up and brown and removes the raw taste and builds a creamy sauce free of lumps.

Be sure your broth and milk are room temperature milk. Once it's smooth, take this off the heat beore adding in the cheeses.

Pour the sauce over the broccoli. Let it get into the creases before topping with cheese & breadcrumbs.
