SOFT  BROWN SUGAR COOKIES

Brown Sugar Cookies are just like your favorite traditional sugar cookie…but made with brown sugar in place of granulated sugar. They are light, fluffy, and slightly chewy, with the perfect sugar cookie tang. You’ll love how easy they are to make, too!

INGREDIENTS

- Butter - Vegetable Oil - Brown Sugar - Powdered Sugar - Egg - All-Purpose Flour - Baking Soda - Cream of Tartar - Salt - Vanilla Extract

1

Cream together room temperature butter and sugars until light and fluffy.

2

It will form together, almost paste-like, when they've been creamed enough.

3

Add vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract, stirring until combined.

4

Add dry ingredients, stir until combined. Let the dough chill for 30 minutes in the fridge.

5

Dollop cookie dough on a baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.

6

Press the dough with a sugar-dipped glass, about halfway down.

7

Once pressed, bake cookies until edges are set, approximately 8 minutes.

8

Let sit on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.

9

If desired, make a batch of buttercream frosting to top the cookies.

10

And enjoy! Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature.
