Homemade Chocolate Drizzled Popcorn

Fresh popcorn topped with rich melted chocolate and flaky sea salt is an irresistible sweet-and-salty snack! It's so easy to make in just 5-minutes!

INGREDIENTS

- Popcorn Kernels - Oil of Choice - Chocolate  - Sea Salt Flakes (optional) - Mix-ins, if you want!

Pour oil into a large heavy-bottomed stockpot or Dutch oven.

Add 3 popcorn kernels over high heat. Cover, and wait for them to pop.

Once the kernels have popped, it's a signal that the oil is hot enough and the popcorn will pop evenly.

Immediately add the popcorn kernels to the pan.

Immediately cover and remove from heat, swooshing back and forth for 20 seconds.

Return back to the heat, and allow the popcorn kernels to pop away!

Once the pan is about 3/4ths full, crack the lid to allow steam to escape.

Pour the popcorn on a parchment-lined large baking sheet (or on the counter).

Slowly melt chocolate with a little oil until smooth.

Drizzle the chocolate across the popcorn, and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.

If adding any mix-ins like M&Ms or peanuts, add them on top of the chocolate drizzle before it hardens.

Let the chocolate harden at room temperature or in the fridge for faster drying. Then, enjoy!
