Homemade Crispy Falafel

It’s so easy to make crispy falafel at home in just 30 minutes. This recipe uses canned chickpeas for ease and is bursting with fresh flavor from parsley and cilantro. Enjoy them on their own, in pita sandwiches, or on salads.

INGREDIENTS

- Chickpeas - Shallot - Garlic - Parsley - Cilantro - Cumin and Coriander - Salt and Pepper - Panko - Flour

Can I make these ahead of time?

Yes! Prepare the falafel balls and store in the fridge until you are ready to pan-fry them.

Food process the chickpeas, shallot, garlic, spices, and herbs until mostly smooth.

Scoop approximately 2 tablespoons of the mixture and form into a ball.

Roll in panko until completely covered.

Pan-fry on both sides, pressing down into a patty if desired.

Serve with tzatziki, lemon-herb mayo, or hummus.
