5-MINUTE HOMEMADE CHEDDAR CHEESE POPCORN

Make cheddar cheese popcorn when you’re craving this crunchy, cheesy snack. You won’t be able to get enough of it, and you’ll love my easy shortcut for this homemade stovetop version.

INGREDIENTS

- Popcorn Kernels - Oil of Choice - Butter and salt, for           topping (as desired) - Cheddar Cheese Powder

CHEDDAR CHEESE POWDER?!

Instead of scouring the internet for cheddar cheese powder, simply use the packet that comes in boxed macaroni and cheese, and save the noodles for another use!

1

Pour oil into a large heavy-bottomed stockpot or Dutch oven.

2

Add 3 popcorn kernels over high heat. Cover, and wait for them to pop.

3

Once the kernels have popped, it's a signal that the oil is hot enough and the popcorn will pop evenly.

4

Immediately add the popcorn kernels to the pan.

5

Immediately cover and remove from heat, swooshing back and forth for 20 seconds.

6

Return back to the heat, and allow the popcorn kernels to pop away!

7

Once the pan is about 3/4ths full, crack the lid to allow steam to escape.

8

Pour the popcorn into a large serving bowl.

9

Toss with melted butter making sure it's completely coated (a bowl with a lid helps!).

10

Sprinkle in the cheddar cheese powder and toss well until the popcorn is completely and evenly coated.
