Homemade Peppermint Mocha Latte

Cozy up with a homemade peppermint mocha latte this season! With just a few simple ingredients, you can make this DIY latte in just a few minutes without any special equipment. Don’t forget the whipped cream topping – it’s time to go all out!

What You'll Need:

- Espresso - Whole Milk (or milk of choice) - Chocolate Syrup - Peppermint Extract

Options for Espresso - without a machine:

- Strongly brewed coffee - Instant Espresso - Stovetop Espresso (Moka Pot) - Stop at the coffee shop and just buy an espresso

If using homemade chocolate syrup, make it first. You can also use store-bought, or chocolate chips/chopped chocolate.

1

Add milk and chocolate syrup to a mason jar. Heat in the microwave for 1 1/2 minutes.

2

Put the lid on and shake vigorously for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Use a towel if it's hot.

3

Carefully remove the lid with a towel. Pour the frothed milk into the espresso and peppermint extract.

Garnish with lots of whipped cream, chocolate shavings (or more syrup!) and crushed peppermint candies.

Use mint syrup in place of peppermint extract for extra sweetness.
