MARGARITA BARS WITH A PRETZEL CRUST

A margarita lover’s dream come true! Margarita Bars – margaritas in dessert bar form – have a soft, custardy lime and tequila filling on top of a salty pretzel crust.

INGREDIENTS

- Pretzels - Butter - Lime Zest & Juice - Tequila - Flour - Eggs - Sugar - Flakey Salt

Pulse pretzels in a food processor until a fine crumb forms.

Combine the pretzel crumbs with melted butter, sugar, and salt.

Press the crust into a parchment-paper lined 8x8 baking sheet and bake.

Rub the lime zest (and orange zest, if using) between your fingers with the sugar to release their oils.

Stir together the sugar mixture with flour, eggs, lime juice, and tequila.

Pour the filling mixture onto the crust, and bake until edges are set.

Let cool, then chill in the fridge for several hours before cutting.
