PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE STAR COOKIES

Homemade peanut butter cookies topped with chocolate stars that melt-in-your-mouth. This recipe is a twist on the classic peanut butter blossoms, yet made with a soft, chewy peanut butter cookie.

INGREDIENTS

- Butter - Granulated Sugar - Brown Sugar - Creamy Peanut Butter - Egg - All-Purpose Flour - Baking Soda - Baking Powder - Salt - Chocolate Stars

Are these peanut butter blossoms?

They’re similar, but they are not the same. If you’re a tried and true peanut butter blossom lover and you don’t think you even need a similar recipe, I urge you to reconsider.

"So soft!! I made these for a cookie exchange and they were a hit 😃" - Marisa

1

Mix together the dough by creaming together butter and sugars, and mixing in the remaining ingredients.

2

It's recommended to chill the dough, but it's not required.

3

Scoop out dough and place a chocolate star on top of the dough.

What are chocolate stars?

They’re fun star “dollops” of chocolate that are a little flatter than kisses, which IMO makes them perfect for these cookies because the warm melty chocolate covers more ground AND the center melts more evenly.

4

Bake until the edges are golden brown.

5

Be sure to enjoy one warm with the melted chocolate (the best!) and store any leftovers in an airtight container.
