5 Minute Caramel Apple Dip only takes 5 ingredients to make, is a super easy fall-favorite recipe, and is incredibly kid-friendly!
I’m beginning to realize that fall played a significant part my childhood memories. I’ve been so focused on sharing classic family recipes that I grew up with: the Perfect Pumpkin Bars, Grandma’s Apple Crisp, and now this Caramel Apple Dip.
I can’t help it – I caught the fall bug and it’s not going away!
Aren’t caramel apples one of the best parts of fall?
They’re definitely one of my favorites, and this dip is like caramel apples on steroids. It is so, so, so incredibly easy to make, and there’s no wait time for any caramel to harden on your apples.
I have about zero patience when it comes to digging into sweets. When a recipe is remarkably quick, it’s equally remarkably awesome.
For this easy 5 Minute Caramel Apple Dip, all you need to do is…
Mix together 5 ingredients:
- Cream Cheese
- Sugar
- Brown Sugar
- Caramel Extract/Flavoring
- Cinnamon
Then, cut up some apple slices and voila! Easy-peasy, lemon-squeezy.
Best Way to Eat Caramel Apple Dip
Back in my younger days (ahem – meaning not yesterday when I was photographing this dip, of course) I would take twice the amount of dip to my apple ratio, smother each apple bite with the caramel apple deliciousness, and then literally lick the bowl when I was finished.
And by finished I mean before I went back to the fridge to get more dip. It’s. So. Freakin’. Good.
I’m pretty sure my mom had to keep a careful eye on me when this dip was around or I would’ve eaten it by the spoonfuls in one sitting. Now that I’m an “adult” I can’t say that temptation has passed…
Don’t be scared off too much about the sugar content, I never claimed this was a healthy dip. The apples do balance it all out though (fiber!, right?), and really, isn’t that better than all the candy kids will try to be eating this Halloween?
Yep, I can try to make any argument work in favor of sugar.

P.S. Worried about finding caramel extract? I was too, since, you know, I live in the middle of nowhere. But if I can find it on my little island, I bet you can too!
I found it in the WalMart around here, and I use J.R. Watkin’s Caramel Extract. It’s the absolute best and is made in the best state ever (Minnesota). Also, if you can find it locally it’s cheaper than buying on Amazon.
Update 10/2018: Found in Menards around the Minneapolis area!
Q: What goodies are you making this Halloween?
