With just 4 ingredients, you’ll have the perfectly tangy and sweet balance of homemade Honey Mustard Dressing!
How many of you are, like me, trying to be healthier in this new year?! I hate to play into the cliché of a New Years resolution that involves losing weight, dieting, etc., because I feel like getting healthy and treating your body right should be an all year thing. We all deserve to treat ourselves right (but we all also deserve a slice of Triple Chocolate Skillet Cookie every now and again too).
Nonetheless, the timing of my “oh-my-gosh-eating-all-the-time-isn’t-going-to-work” realization, as well as the realization that um, I’m not 16 anymore; and therefore I cannot eat an entire pan of Molly Beth Bars in one sitting without noticing it on my thighs later, happens to coincide with the beginning of the new year.
I’m ok with the timing, cliché’s aside, because it’s the perfect time to get back into a balanced life. Since Jason (that’s the BF) returned from his deployment, I kind of went into the mindset of happy eating all the time, because I celebrate with food. Besides, who wouldn’t want to celebrate the return from a deployment for the following six months?!
And let’s be real, having a food blog means making a lot of food. I don’t make these recipes once and it’s done – no, there’s testing involved, which involves eating, and obviously keeping it in the house for Jason and I to eat the rest of (especially the sweet treats). So, yeah, this New Year is about balance.
This being said, I’m so excited to share with you one of my favorite go-to salad dressings. You’re not using store bought dressing still, are you? If you are, go throw it out (maybe look at all those ingredients first so you don’t think I’ve totally lost it) and then make yourself some homemade Honey Mustard Dressing. Best part? In addition to the lack of mystery ingredients/preservatives, is that it’s only FOUR ingredients! I bet you have them all in your kitchen right now.
This dressing is also so easy to modify to your tastes and dressing preferences.
Obsessed with mustard? Add a little more of it in.
Have a sweet tooth the size of Texas (like moi), stir in a little extra honey.
Like your dressing thicker? Use less apple cider vinegar and oil.
I trust that you can do it. And once you do, you’ll never go back.
BONUS: think of all the money you’ll save! Kaboom! That’s where it’s at – healthy, real ingredients, and budget friendly. I couldn’t ask for more in this new year.

Will try this for sure! Love to dip chicken pieces (breaded, of course) in honey mustard dressing.

Yes, it’d be perfect for that! You may want to make it a little thicker though.
