If there’s one thing we love around here more than pasta, it’s snacking – especially with a peanut butter snack!

I mean, it’s no secret that homemade popcorn is one of our go-tos around here when it comes to savory snack recipes, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a place for sweet snacks. Quite the opposite, in fact, especially when it comes to peanut butter.

I have been making this peanut butter snack dip on repeat because it’s easy to whip up in just 5-minutes. No baking, no cooking, nothing except for a little mixing! It’s a creamier, more dippable way to enjoy everyone’s favorite spread. Serving it with banana slices makes it a complete banana snack, too. It’s a recipe to elevate your afternoon, friends!

Ingredient Spotlight

This recipe uses simple pantry ingredients – which is what a snack should be! There are a few highlights, but please see the full recipe card below for all amounts and instructions.

Mixing bowl with peanut butter and whisk next to honey.
  • All-Natural Creamy Peanut Butter is my go-to because it doesn’t contain extra oils or sugar. I also recommend creamy peanut butter as it results in a more dippable sauce. However, if you prefer crunch (and don’t want to add a garnish of chopped peanuts) feel free to use chunky peanut butter.
  • Honey adds a little extra sweetness. Maple syrup would be a great substitute, otherwise, omit to keep it sugar-free.
  • Chia Seeds are an optional garnish. I like to add them because they provide texture and are an excellent way to add nutrition to this snack!

How to Make Peanut Butter Snack Dip

Grab a bowl, a little whisk or spatula, and get ready to have this snack ready in a matter of minutes!

It really does just come down to whisking together the dip ingredients. Take your peanut butter, honey, vanilla extract, and half-and-half and whisk them together until combined.

The cream helps to thin out the thick peanut butter and turn it into a smooth dippable dip. Easily adjust the amount of half-and-half you add if you desire a thicker or thinner dip. Similarly, substitute with milk – dairy or dairy-free – for a thinner, lighter dip, or heavy cream for an even more indulgent dip.

Garnish the Dip

To really take the dip up a notch, garnish with chopped peanuts and chia seeds for added texture. Some flakey sea salt is a delicious way to pair the sweet and saltiness, too.

It doesn’t have to stop there, though. Try it with chocolate or peanut butter chips, chocolate syrup, or granola. Although garnishes are a delicious way to change it up, you can, of course, just dive on into the dip as it is!

It’s Snack Time!

Once the dip is whipped up, enjoy it with banana slices. Dip ’em in with your fingers, or use a toothpick. Alternatively, drizzle the sauce across the banana slices and skip the dipping, instead just enjoying with a fork.

Mix it up – use apple slices, or make it extra sweet with vanilla wafers.

Storage Tips

If you have leftover dip, store it in a jar or airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. The dip will thicken in the fridge, so let it come to room temperature and give it a good mix before serving again to have that creamy, dippable texture.
